At its core, my teaching revolves around enjoyment for learning. I truly believe how we feel whilst we learn is the key to a successful guitar journey. Your lessons will be geared towards having fun, feeling inspired and developing a healthy relationship with learning and practising. When these ingredients are in place, improvement becomes a natural by-product.

I’ve studied both playing and teaching with some of the very best guitar teachers in the UK (including Justin Sandercoe from JustinGuitar.com), so I know what works. The Hows and Whys
“Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he’ll eat for a lifetime”. As well as teaching the whats, I’m a big believer in teaching the hows and whys. Lessons Tailored to You
We’re all different – we learn differently, we progress differently, and we all have different musical interests. There’s no such thing as a one size fits all method, and your guitar lessons Cardiff will be tailored to you as an individual.
Structure
To progress on the guitar, it’s really important to learn material relative to your current playing abilities. Too difficult and you’ll become overwhelmed and frustrated. Too easy and you’ll get bored. All the material you’ll be given in your guitar lessons Cardiff will be adapted to suit your current level of playing, with just the right amount of challenge to keep you engaged and improving.
Extended Video Support
The practice you do in between lessons is just as important as what you do in your lessons. And to help you along with this, when needed, I’ll record and send you a small video containing all the relevant pieces of information to help you practice and understand things whilst at home.
All Ages and Abilities
Regardless of age, background, or previous musical experiences, I believe that anybody can learn to play the guitar. As a general rule, I’ve found that 8 years is a good age for children to start, and there’s absolutely no maximum age for adults.
I also run group guitar lessons in Cardiff for adults and children, and office guitar lessons for local and businesses based away from Cardiff.
Guitar Grades
If you’d like to include Grades into your learning, I teach contemporary Guitar Grades 1 – 8, and I have a 100% pass rate to date.
Locations
Lessons take place at my home in Penylan, Cardiff.
If my schedule allows and you don’t live too far away, your guitar lessons can also be taken from the comfort of your own home.
I also offer Online Lessons if you’re based away from Cardiff, or would prefer to learn virtually.
Prices
£40 per 55 minutes and £22 per 30 minutes.
