Below is an image of the (open) A chord, along with surrounding notes from the A major scale. I call this image an (open) A chord – Note Map,
The A chord is made up using notes R, 3 and 5 from the A major scale – A, C# and E.
Once you can comfortably play the A chord, use the surrounding notes to create other chords such as Amaj7, Am7, A7, Asus2 etc…
To do this you’ll need to learn and memorise: Chord Formulas.
You’ll also have to play around and experiment with your fingers a little.
