The second image highlights the chord shape within the scale to show the relationship between the two. Each image also displays all of the scale degrees – R 2 3 5 6.
How To Practice
When working on this scale, play the chord shape first, then the scale, and then the chord shape again. This helps us internalise the relationship between the chord shape and the scale. When playing through the scale, start from the lowest Root note, play to the highest note, down to the lowest note, and then end back on the lowest Root note.
